Annual CEF Starlight Soiree
Our annual fundraising event benefits all the local public schools. Join us for an evening of fine wines, appetizers, dancing, and more.
Thank you, thank you, thank you! On Saturday, January 28th at the Cabrillo Education Foundation's 3rd Annual Starlight Soiree, you made some amazing things happen.
We set a record, hosting more than 300 people from the Coastside and surrounding communities who came together to celebrate and support our schools.
We gave out our first endowment allocation, a check for $90,000, to the Coastside's kids.
By the end of the night we had raised a whopping total of $103,000 !!!
$86,000 for our endowment fund and another $17,000 to be divided up between our schools for immediate use, with each school site determining how to apply the funds.
You stepped up for our schools. Just imagine, if we're able to hit our endowment fund target of $2.8 million by the end of 2012, next year that big check we write could be anywhere from $112,000 to as much as $280,000!
